Looking for some Place to Unwind?

Last October 15, 2012, together with my students, we went to Brgy. Granada for an outreach program; putting up a nursery as part of our commitment to the community to help save the mother nature. The outreach program was accomplished before lunch time. Since we've got more time, we've decided to go to the nearest resort nearby. Bocal- bocal spring resort situated at Brgy,. Alangilan, a hidden nature beauty nested approximately 17 km away from the Bacolod proper. Bocal- bocal spring resort is quite far though but the nature will soothe you with the fresh scent of breeze and the calming sound of nature that will surely compose a solemn melody. The place is so wonderful as it is surrounded by green meadows of trees shadowing the whole place. The pool is invigoratingly cold that will freeze your flesh the moment you set your body. Nature indeed has its own way of pampering you, you only need to explore them. 

The resort has just started it's renovation that's why no overnight reservation is allowed due to absence of electricity supply. The place comes with small "kubo" for a whole day stay in the place. Perfect for barkada get away and family bonding..quiet and fresh place to unwind.

1 Year PRC License Anniversary

Last Nov. 9, the terrifying but most special day (so far) of my life has turned one year already. You may guess it was like a battle, right? Yeah, it was the day that the board exam result is to be released after a two-day examination held in Manila. You know what I am talking, the Licensure examination for RadTech. Nov. 3- 4, 2011 when I took the board exam. I've had my review in Manila in one of the review centers. Well originally my plan was to book a flight after the result will be released but unfortunately, the exam ended on Friday and on the weekends, PRC are on rest days. On Monday, 7th of November it was declared as holiday ( I can't remember why) so the office has to return on Tuesday. We were all expecting the result on the 8th, so we've decided to fly back to Negros on the same day afternoon. The day has ended without the result yet. On the 9th, I wasn't able to defeat my tension and I was so anxious of what will gonna happen. I made some calls to my friends and killed the tremendous tension by strolling to malls and some dining. I have decided to turn off my phone to help ease my apprehension. After a couple of hours of going back and forth to south and north wing of the SM mall in Bacolod, we've decided take our feet home. It was already 5pm and I've believed that the result already, so I've decided to open my phone (nervous though). I was surprised that i had no messages received on the moment I have checked it. We just keep on talking inside the jeepney and suddenly my phone rung. I jolted when I'd felt the vibration of my phone..sh*t it's was a friend of mine trying to call me. So I pressed the answer button acting as if everything was okay. When my friend started to speak on the line, she shouted "cas! (shortcut of my last name causapin) You have made it to the board exam! Congratulations! You're didn't just passed it but you've topped it!" I was speechless on the first 15 seconds.. I said "it's not a good joke! Tell me that I'ts not a joke! I was teary already I didn't even mind I was riding in a public vehicle. She said, "yeah I'm not kidding I just don't know what number you've got! Go check it in the internet!" She dropped the call I didn't noticed the whole folks were staring at me, together with my friends we were shouting and they hugged me with all the praises and congratulations.

It was really my day! I hurriedly went to the internet shop and made some searches..surprisingly I was on the 7th place and not bad. And to this day, I've enjoyed the privilege embedded in my license for 1 year already, 1 year and counting of course! I can't just forget the day how it was started and I've thanked everyone that have been part of my endeavor especially my family, my friends and my colleagues whose support and prayers helped a lot in the success of my examination. 

I just want to say "Thank You" that one year has passed already and I have loved the privilege pertaining thereto. I'll gonna take good care of this thin plastic card because my future lies in here (lol) Looking forward for a more fruitful years brought by this PRC license card.

RadTech Week 2012

The month of November is considered to be the birth month of the history of my chosen profession; the Radiologic Technology. It was November 8, 1895 when Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen accidentally discovered the unknown ray called "x- ray". After his discovery, x- ray has been a great help to the medical field where majority of its application is highly employed. Last November 8, 2012, marks 117th year celebration of the discovery of x- ray and to note, the Radiologic Technology of Riverside College will celebrate it's 5th RadTech Assembly from November 22- 24, 2012. The college has prepared various activities like Radiolympics, Seminar, Fun Walk, Exhibit, Cultural Presentation and Culmination Party to give students a different, fun- filled and fresh experience of being a member of the Radtech Society. 

In line in that, last Saturdays Nov. 10 and 17, the elimination round for the Radiolympics has commenced. The 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year RadTech students gear up with their best sports attire to sweat off their skills and abilities in sports namely; volleyball, basketball, bowling and billiards. As a coordinator, I wasn't exempted to be on the hot court to show off my strength on hitting up the ball with a forceful smash against the opponent who are my students (they wouldn't hurt me though..lol). Some of the events like bowling and billiards were accomplished outside the school due to lack of facilities. 

So far, we had a successful events and we all ended up with aches on our back and thighs but the smiles of sportsmanship and camaraderie show up until the games were over. In the next few days, there will be more activities you should enjoy, no classes anyway so no hassle and worries for some missed discussions. Well, I'd me more happy with that..lol.
